OK, maybe something got lost in the thread.
My laptop does not have a serial port. S&T requires one to
communicate
with my GPSmap 60c. Why do you mention a USB mouse (what will
that do
for me?). I'm guessing you know something I don't, but I don't
understand your solution.
My Garmin GPSmap 60C has serial and USB. My laptop only has USB.
S&T
requires a GPS connected to a serial. It's the laptop middleman
that's
causing the problem (I think).
