Thanks for the replay +JLS!
Just so that I understand you correctly, when I'm creating the route in
City Select using the route tool, I should also create some strategic
waypoints along the "must pass areas" I wish to see. Then, while I'm
using the route tool, do I click on these newly created waypoints when
I'm building the route? This way, the waypoints are actually part of
the route?
(my goal is that, as a motorcyclist, I'm trying to take some back
roads. Currently, if I miss a turn along my route, the GPS
recalculates and jumps to the simplist method to get me to my final
destination.-- no good for me)
I also notice on the GPS unit itself, that it has an option to set
recalculation to off or on. Should I turn that option off, so that it
does not make these new decisions for me? Thinking being that If I'm
off route, I need to find my way back on the originally intended route.
If you or anyone can comfirm this thinking, I'd much appreciate it. I
know this unit can do what I want... the user (me) simply needs to
program it correctly, and that's the help I need!
