I had the same problem with the 60C. Darn thing would override my
planned route and come up with something else.
The solution is what the other poster said... create lots of "via"
points along the route. These are not necessarily waypoints (some
point of interest)... they are just pointers to keep you on track. The
manufacturer calls them "via points".
The more via points you click into your route plan the more resistant
it will be to recalculation. Make sure to click a via point just
beyond a turn that you had planned. That way, the GPS has to follow
your planned turns.
Takes 1-2 more minutes when creating a route on Mapsource... but sure
beats the alternative of have the GPS come up with some entirely
different route.
