1km or 2km physical world map

Hello,

after searching and googling for many hours on the www, I've given up and ask for your help:

I am looking for a free (electronical) 2D physical world map with about 1 or 2 km resolution. In a few very remote areas, 5 km are acceptable.
The map needs to:
- include the boundaries of all countries
- have some sort of rectangular projection (Miller would be the best, Plate Carre also ok)
- include topographical information (= elevation information should be shown by some nice colors)
- bathymetry not necessarily needed

I tried downloading some software for processing topographic data (Wilbur, MicroDEM, ...), but as I'm a real newbie I was unable to cope with them...

Please help, this NG is my last hope! ;-o
Jens
