Ipaq 3970 problem with tt3

Could anyone guide me I set the windows on my Ipaq 3970 to shutdown after 5
mins when not in use but since loading Tomtom3 this will not close only
backlight switches off. Could someone please give me a guide, would be a
happy chappie John
