Re: city select NT
How large in mega bytes worth of map data is the included city select
NT
database thats preloaded onto the Quest 2?
Answer: Approximately 1.6Gb of data.
How does city select v6 or the new v7 compare to the 'NT' version on
the
quest - is it equivalent and considered 'as detailed' as the V6 or V7
CD or
DVD versions?
Answer: Yes, they are both equivalent.
HOw is this possible with the internal memory of the Quest 2?
Answer: I am sorry I don't know the answer on this one. They rarely
explain
to us how they accomplish the engineering.
Will Garmin offer any sort of update for the internal map data in the
Quest
2 or will CD/DVD versions of City Select need to be purchased?
Answer: Currently the vendor requires this information on either CD or
DVD.
The Quest2 will use the DVD.
IF the preloaded NT version of City select is 'as detailed' as V6 or V7
via
a very large internal memory database you guys have truly responded
well to
customer requests.. my order will be forthcoming!
Answer:If you call customer service at the 1800 number below you can
discuss
in detail your different options and the features of the units. Thanks
for
considering Garmin.
Thanks
Dave
