Re: Garmin Mapsource version 6.xx beta has a time bomb - it shut down and refused to operate

Just to let any mapsource users out there know that Garmin puts a time bomb
in their beta software releases so it won't run after a few days. I
recently downloaded their beta version and it was running fine but later
when I really needed it, it said that the time period had expired and
refused to run. I had to go find a different version of mapsource and
install it before I could continue with my GPS navigation task. I found
this to be outrageously inconvenient.
