TomTom and all other commercial navigation systems use a closed map format
unique to each manufacturer. You cannot use any other manufacturers maps
not can you use custom maps.
However, TomTom has excellent Custom POI support and it is a simple process
to create your own custom POI Group and share/install these on multiple
units. There are utilities available to convert POI lists created in .csv
or .txt format to the .ov2 format used by TomTom. You can also create
custom icons to represent your POIs.
