Do it however you wish but actually reading the change notes before
installing (instead of after the event as you appear to do) is enough to
tell me that, for me at least, update is futile.

Anyway you seem to have missed the point of my comments, which was to berate
you for your seemingly incomprehensible defence of Garmin's stupidity in
their documentation (or rather lack thereof) of the 60-day expiry of beta
versions of software.
