I know it's along the lines of reminding you about absent horses and stable
entrances - but you really should read the change notes before installing
software updates since they are not always what you may consider to be an
improvement!

However, in case you regret your rashness and have noticed that Garmin no
longer offer you the chance of returning to version 6.5, you will find an
archive of MapSource (and nRoute) release versions at
http://www.gpsinformation.org/perry/msource/

Actually backing up the directory tree -
http://www.gpsinformation.org/perry/ appears to be a pretty comprehensive
garmin GPS software/firmware archive.
