What did you find insufficient about the original Quest? Although
focussed more on driving applications, it also supports Garmin's topo
maps and many people use them for hiking, geocaching, biking, etc. My
main concern about either Quest is the internal battery which makes the
unit less convenient to use on extended outings away from a charger. I
also tend to keep my electronic gadgets for quite a few years (still
mainly using the eMap I bought when they first came out over 5 years
ago) and suspect that the internal Li+ cell will eventually fail to
hold a charge.
