If you could bear going through what I did then I would recommend this
combination. The Pretec Bluetooth data logger (also known as Royaltek
RBT 3000) is a nice device.
Note that I am not saying that you need to go through all this to get
this device to work as a GPS with TomTom. It is only necessary to get
the device's management application to coexist with TomTom. A
bluetooth GPS that is just a GPS and does not need a management
application will probably not have this problem. In fact I know that
several simple non-TomTom bluetooth GPS devices do work easily with
TomTom since some of my colleagues have them.
One simple tip if you get a bluetooth GPS is to upgrade to TomTom 5.10.
The configuration is much easier if you do.
If you have not loaded TomTom yet and are considering a non-TomTom
bluetooth GPS, you may want to omit the TomTom bluetooth support, it
does not seem to be required and it may cause problems. It may be
required for the TomTom bluetooth receiver, I don't know.
