No airlines object to having GPS receivers in your carryon bags, nor
does the TSA have any problem with this. A few airlines (incl. AA)
don't allow you to use them while in flight. Most airlines treat them
the same as passenger electronics such as laptops and PDAs and allow
use while above 10 kft.
