Re: CS6 vrs CS7 and what else is better?

Garmin responded to my request for better National park coverage in CS as
follows:
======================
"Thank You for contacting Garmin International!
I am happy to help you with this. Information on National Parks, can be
found on our US Topo with National Parks CD, at
www.garmin.com/cartography/onthetrail. The City Select software is for
navigation in cities, and will probably not be updated to include
information on our national parks.

If you have any additional comments or questions, please do not hesitate to
contact us via email or at the number listed below. "

============================

I called the number listed and got the 35 minute wait message.
I emailed back asking if the Topo with National Park CD would do autorouting
on roads. I can't really tell if it even has roads from the website blurb.
You had this right Phil? the 24K version?
Of which, unfortunately, there are three separate products to cover the US
mainland. (Think I'll just buy a book for a fraction of the price).
There is also the US Topo 1:100,000 which covers a larger area and sounds
like it might have roads but can't tell if it autoroutes and it doesn't
mention campground or national parks and forests.

US TOPO

a.. Trip and waypoint management functions**
b.. Highways, roads, hiking trails, snowmobile trails, backwoods trails,
elevation contours, point elevations, summits, some bathymetric contours,
geographic names, churches, and schools
c.. Shoreline detail for lakes, reservoirs, small bodies of water,
waterways, rivers, and streams
d.. Icons representing boat ramps, dams, marinas, campgrounds, public
facilities, mile markers, first-aid stations, picnic, swimming, and ski
areas, wrecks, fuel, and dangerous and restricted areas
e.. Nautical navaids for the 50 states including radiobeacons, RACONs, and
fog signals; river, harbor, and other lights; and daybeacons and lighted and
unlighted buoys
f.. Wrecks and obstructions-such as shipwrecks, submerged rocks,
obstructions, and other hazards to nautical navigation
Geeeze! Can't find the National Forests without the "Topo with National Park
CD." Can't get there without CS.
Yeah, maybe I'll just buy a book.
