Here is the page for the BR-355 http://tinyurl.com/7ls68 - no pinouts or other info. I have two mouse style GPSr (an Altina and a Rikaline) that have the PS/2 connector for power in and data out.
As it happens, coincidently or otherwise, both of my GPSr's have the same pinouts so I can use them interchangeably with the two DC-DC adapters and PDA connecting cables I have.
The quality on some of the the accessory DC-DC adapter/PDA connector assemblies sold as accessories for the mouse style GPSr's is suspect. I had one for a Palm that simply would not latch on to the PDA, and another for an iPAQ that kept coming loose and losing the signal.
I finally gathered up better connectors and the other bits and pieces and made up my own cables.

On my GPS receivers, the data pair in the PS/2 connector is a RS-232 TXD/RXD pair. So if you have a DB-9P COM port (either hardware or through using a serial to USB adapter) if you connect your receiver's TXD and RXD to the DB-9P RXD and TXD pins it might work. Worth a try anyway.
The serial to USB adapter's drivers will (should?) create a virtual COM port during the Plug & Play process. The newer flavors of Windows (2000 and XP) have the drivers built in now for the chipsets used in most of those adapters.

I think the PS/2 is actually a Mini-DIN 6 connector or something like that.
