The quickest way might be a good old fashioned paper atlas and a compass
- pin one end at the town you want, the other to the most visibly
obvious bit of coast - then simply spin it around to see if you were
right (and if not, adjust accordingly).

Then simply measure the distance from the scale on the map :-}
