Hi
The gps mapping apps I use are
gpsman, which is similar to fugawi. It can store tracks an waypoints and display
then on mpas which you can import and calibrate. It may be able to track your
position, but not owning a laptop I've never investigated.
I use gpsman to plan hikes and display and store the tracks on a map.
gpsdrive, is a bit of fun. It displays your position on maps which it can
download from the net. I suspect that this would be a really useful app if I
owned a laptop.
pathaway, this is a windows/palm app. The, windows, map calibration software
runs under wine.
