Re: Question about DeLorme Street Atlas 2005

If your using a database (ie. Customers) and want to import it into the app
and actually use the data (all fields included and editable), you can even
select records from it to route to all at once (no need to place individual
stops....powerful stuff;>), or need residential and business phone data for
the whole US, then consider SA2006 Plus. It's more expensive, but may be
very helpful if any of the needs are there.

I've been a DeLorme fanatic since 95, so I'm not one to ask. I also use S&T
but it's mainly for map comparison. As far as I was concerned, it was junk
from the standpoint of usability, and had only a fraction of the features of
the SA products, but with the 2006 release, they are catching up a good bit.
They have finally added some features that DeLorme has had for may years.
>From the only review I've read, they are still behind because the features
they copied, aren't near as refined nor work as DeLorme's. They do have
better maps in most metro areas, but much worse maps in rural areas and off
the main roads, which is typical of the Navteq maps. To be fair, it will
also optimize your stops, and I'm pretty sure it will work with your Garmin.
