Seagull,

I agree, particularly if you drive a car with a somewhat bigger
engine. A very small adjustment on the accelerator pedal will
translate into a large change of speed, unless you continuously
readjust at least once every few seconds.

The first solution is, of course, the automatic cruise control.
A better one could be GPS and database controlled speed.

(What I really want is a complete autopilot, but I won't get
that soon.)
