In use, if I understand it correctly, you would connect the 60CS to the laptop USB port, the GPS data stream would go into the GPSGate software's virtual COM port, and be available to your laptop application on another virtual COM port.

You really think that I should give more for the GPSmap 60CS?
Thank you both for the link, if I got it right- I can connect both Vista C and GPSmap 60CS to applications that require NMEA?
I have to choose between them- 60CS and VISTA C.
Both have compass and altimeter. As maps.
Vista is smaller, but 60CS has a better reception.
Both Bluechart compactible.
