MIPS required for GPS solution

Hi there,

I'm just spec'ing up a TI DSP development system for a university
project. The final goal is a real time 20Hz GPS speed/position
solution, with the raw solution coming in from another receiver. Does
anyone have a feel for how many MIPS or FLOPS are typically required
for a single GPS Epoch? Obviously this is almost "a how long is a piece
of string" type question, but any indication would be helpful at this
stage!

Thanks

Jim
