While it may seem at first glance that this forum has been dumbed down
to exclude people who know the nuts & bolts of how a complex
electronic system such as GPS actually works, there is probably not a
better UseNet forum in which to ask this GPS related question. If he
doesn't get his question answered here, there are participants in this
forum who can tell him where to go for help.

To get in touch with individuals working on the theory & practice of
gps mathematical and electronic solutions, one might try posting to
the Canspace forum - see below:
