Any GPS can be used anywhere in the world.
It is not the hardware you have to consider, it is the software you
must research before deciding on a GPS/software.
If you are considering a handheld or auto GPS, most GPS have only USA
maps, many also have Europena maps (expensive), and probably very
little outside these.
There are more possibilities with a PDA/GPS combination. Not knowing
where you want to use them it is not possible to advise. But you get
the idea for consideration.
