The above is normal for any product which is within Mapsource. I routinely
use tiles from multiple "products", some Garmin and some home-brewed.

The problem is that the Marine POI file isn't part of Mapsource, and its not
obvious how one would move the Marine POI data file into Mapsource.

(I had a quick try today before posting my earlier reply, and inspite of
being in possession of some third-party map drawing/compiling tools, and the
ability to write my own maps for Mapsource, I couldn't get the Marine POI
file into Mapsource. That's not to say it cannot be done with a bit more
work or knowledge. The only way I could think it might work would be to
use a third-party map loader which doesn't erase the maps already present in
the GPS device. )
