I recently moved from Alabama to North Carolina and was wondering if
someone could give me a little information in regards to declination?

Magnetic declination varies from place to place (and from time to time,
unpredictably). If you move far enough (or wait long enough) the correct
value for it will differ from that at your origin.
During magnetic storms it even varies a little from second to second.
