I bought a Garmin Streetpilot 2610 that came with the complete package

Quest. No problems--yet.
Didn't the Quest come with its own set of CitySelect maps? Or were
they for a different part of the world (e.g. Europe vs. NA)?
Then I bought another 2610 thatcame with just the power cord and dash-mount.
It has a 128 MB card with some maps on it from City Navigator V6.
Here's my question--when I purchased the less-than-complete unit, am I
entitled to all of the maps that come with City Navigator V6? The CD did not
come with it, ...
I could probably buy a V7 DVD and load the maps, but the extra money seems
extravagant ($100+). It seems that this would be like buying a second-hand
car and having GM tell you that you now have to buy the engine from them to
be able to use it.
Seems to me your complaint is with the seller who sold you the
"less-than-complete" unit. If I bought a used car that was "less than
complete" I sure wouldn't expect GM to supply me with the pieces needed
to complete it free of charge.
In this case the seller should supply you with the necessary unlock
code for the 2610 you bought. That would let you use the CN maps that
you seem to already have on your PC.
