This more or less is related to my 3D compass comment. If the Garmin
compass needs to be used gingerly, i.e. held level, I don't see how
handy it would be if you are moving on foot.

Good point, hadn't considered that aspect, map rotation ! Do you know
if the compass always take priority or does the GPS kick in above a
certain speed ?
