don't know why you would want NMEA
on a parallel port; serial is normal and will be provided by the GPS

I just mentioned that SeaClear outputs it out that way.
I assume there is a reason for doing so.

I am wondering what sort of PDA to replace my Psion(s) with... perhaps a
Palm of some sort will be it!

I am happy to give you the source of my program (6kb) but it is in a
Basic-like language special to Psions. Email me if wanted.

I have recently downloaded SeaClear, so I will look for an explanation of
the parallel interface.
