Re: MapSource unlock query - multiple / replacement units

Just for the interest of the group, I have just received an email from
a staff attorney at Garmin, noting that I have "communicated" with "one
Dennis Pogson", asking for all details of our communication and noting
that programs to crack MapSource codes are a violation of copyright
law. (Like - doh!)
I had made no attempt to follow up (either in public or in private) on
the message from Mr Pogson - as far as I am concerned, I am a customer
with a legitimate problem with MapSource licensing, and I expect Garmin
to sort it out. I have emailed Customer Services in the US twice and,
having had no response, have also sent a letter to Garmin UK via snail
mail.
They haven't replied to any of the above - but they have seen fit to
set a lawyer on me, in spite of the fact that I have done nothing
whatseover wrong. Nice move, Garmin - you just lost yourselves a
customer who's spent over 2 grand on your products over the last 5
years... Magellan, here I come.
Simon
PS Anyone want to buy a 60CS? Comes with a whole bunch of useless
maps...
