I have sent emails to Garmin from their website and always get a response.
It won't be in 3 minutes, but they have always answered my questions.

Never bothered me. I appreciate being told that the idea of holding at
that moment is ridiculous instead of hanging on for five or ten minutes.
However, I like Comcast's approach...punch in your telephone number and
they will call you back within x number of minutes.
Garmin is not alone in this, but I am really bugged when I am told by the
recorded voice that all I need to do is go to their web page and all will
be well...in many cases, it is inability to get to the web page that is
the reason for the call.
