I too used lostoutdoors.com and really missed not having it. The good
news is I found a site while surfing that does the same thing and more.
The only downside to some people is it costs $29.95 a year for their pro
level, which I was told would be their only level eventually. But what
the hell, what's $2.50 a month. Check out www.mapcard.com
ExpertGPS has a link to "print waterproof topo map" from any waypoint.
That takes you to mytopo.com, but those topo maps are USGS maps that
haven't been updated since 1993. ExpertGPS loads those same maps for
viewing and local printing.
Google maps or Google Earth are just a fuzzy blob in my area.
I see mapcards also points to mytopo for printed maps, so $29.95 per year
would give you access to a program and maps similar to ExpertGPS.com at $59
purchase price.
