Yes, I do this all the time for our running club. For instance:
http://www.restonrunners.org/Courses/MapView.php?course=lfpxc3mt
However, it might be better to use Google Earth:
http://earth.google.com/
if your area is covered by the higher resolution photos. Mapsource has a tab to upload to Google Earth. You can change the icons, etc. in Google Earth. Lately I've been using my 76CS to make course maps and elevation profiles of our courses. I record the tracklog using a 2-second setting. Then I load it into Mapsource, load it into Google Earth, edit the size and shape of the trackpoint icons, make a print screen, transfer that to PaintShop Pro and annotate the map. I don't have any of the new maps on our club web site yet because we're still working on the format, but I'll send a couple off list if you like.

Hi,.
I posted this several months ago. Would Map-memory be an option to
make a detailed trail map from a GPS route? My son needs a detailed
trail map that we can print up and mount in some sort of sign. We
walked the trail and entered wavpoints as key features. Now we need to
transfer the data into an image, edit, and then print it.
Unfortunately, the USGS topo maps have little detailed for the area
whihc only about 1-2 square miles.
More info:
My son is planning to put up trail signs at the local park as part of
his Eagle service project. The park has about 6-8 miles of trails.
Unfortunately, the city only has hand-written maps for the trails. He
needs to make a better map of the trail system. I have a Garmin 60C
GPS unit. Could we use my GPS unit to map out the trails?. Save the
traces and then transfer them to Mapsource. Maybe save key point
(signs... etc...) as markers?
