Yes, it seems to work!

I just realized that I could make a much easier tunnel test here in my office: We have metal foil covered windows, so there is zero GPS reception inside.

I celebrated too early. :-(

Simply bringing the GPS down into the underground garage, then driving out was enough for a permanently lost sat connection. :-(

So, some things have been fixed, but WAAS is still totally broken. :-(

What seemed to be the critical factor, LOS interval duration?
You say you waited for the LOS annunciation to appear in your metal
windowed office experiment, so how much grace time do you have to
re-acquire beyond that annunciation before permanent failure occurs?

I don't know yet, but I did notice that inside my office, two or three sats still had a number showing up, even though there was absolutely no bar height.

I.e. it is possible that it was still tracking at least one sat when I re-attached the antenna.

Going into the garage definitely dropped everything.

The latter is the firmware associated with the SIRF chip, as far as I know, so maybe that will need to be released before we get a fix on some of the WAAS oddities. ...
