With v. 2.6 my 60Cx would turn on and then lock up with Lithium AAs.
With v. 2.7 it just won't turn on.

If you set the battery option back to alkaline or Nimh it behaves just as it used to with Lithiums. Good thing it will still turn on with Nimhs in the "Lithium Ion" setting, or we would really have been out of luck!
I have my 60Cx set to NiMH and it works just fine with NiMH cells.
I get the impression from threads on the Groundspeak forum that there may in fact be a Lithium-ion pack now that immulates a pair of AA's, so Garmin may be trying to set up for that (but I haven't been interested in it enough to follow up on it).
There is such a pack and I have used them in one of my cameras. But it is too long to fit in my 60Cx.
