This is a risk of having specialized map sets. Yes, it sucks and its
not ideal by any stretch of the imagination, but short of Garmin requiring
your software to "phone home for authorization" every time you load a
mapset, there's no feasible way to de-authorize a device.

Again, the grass isn't greener anywhere else.
