All four units record lat/lon/time/alt. You can record track
points every second or every 10 meters of motion. They work with
external antennas. I just did a battery test on my 60CX and with

How is the accuracy with the battery saver? I heard that it switches off

I just did some tests (60CSx), and the variation went up by a factor of 4 to
5 in the battery saver mode. This is for a stationary unit near a window in
an apartment; results may differ under other conditions.

My times were similar to those mentioned above: 17 hours and 32 hours (with
2400 mAh NIMHs).

I saw the standard deviation jump about 2x in battery saver; pretty
close to your observation. (Similar setup.) Thanks for mentioning it
because I would have neglected variance otherwise. (I'm trying to get
as much usage out of a set of batteries as I can on a backpack
trip...weight is king, less batteries is good.)

You'll have saved me the effort of testing the NiMH if you tell me you
did your test with compass disabled.
