As far as the unlock code, those are "sold" by Garmin with a map
CD/DVD and allow one to use the maps on 2 different GPSRs
You will have to buy a CD with new unlock codes.

I know this should be asked of Garmin, but I would like a little advice.
first...I bought a 2610 on E-Bay. I only came with a 128MB card and a few
maps on it. The seller did not have ANY CD/DVDs or unlock codes. I doubt
that Garmin ever sold a 2610 without some kind of City Navigator (V6?) CDs,
can I get any kind of replacement CDs without charge? I know I can buy V7 or
wait for V* and pay and then (I think) load up to two GPSs, but why should I
not be able to get replacement CDs? OR...is there a way to get the unlock
code out of the 2610 itself and then unlock a V6 or V& CD/DVD? I currently
own another 2610 but the cards are not swap-able. I even tried to load maps
on a 1GB and a 2GB card and then insert in the 'map-less' 2610. I got a
message that the maps were locked.
TIA, Virtually lost
