Let me suggest the obvious thing of resetting your unit.
backup your data, then hold down page-enter while powering up the
unit. Answer yes to the question.. Don't forget to delete the garmin
waypoints afterwards..
It might not solve your problem, but you will at least know it's not
caused by some bad data inside...
