I had it happen to one of the contacts on my eMap when it was about 3
or 4 years old. Turned out to be a blessing in disguise since I was
able to directly substitute a real spring contact from an old broken
Mini-Maglite. The spring completely cured the intermittent problem I'd
been having with the unit shutting down under strong vibration.
