I don't know of any consumer GPS receivers that allow you to enter the
altitude of the waypoint. Thus the satellite waypoint will assume that the
satellite is on the ground instead of 22,000 miles high above the equator.
For small dish purposes, geostationary satellites always have a latitude of
zero.
Here is an online calculator where you can put in your lat/lon and the
longitude of the satellite to find the line of sight azimuth and elevation
for pointing our antenna.

Here is another link to more TVRO satellite info then you will probably ever
need

The Az/El won't change significantly unless you drive considerable
distances.

Hi to all,
I am using a Magellan 315 in a mobilhome and wonder if it possible
entering lat and long of a satellite (as a waypoint) so if shows it's
direction at all times making it easier tuning in as my sat dish is
manual operated. I am interested in Astra 2 and Hotbird.
Many thanks.
Seems unlikely. You need a computer program, and I'm sure they exist.
Current location (fromm the GPSR) would be an input to it.
