Cable for GPS

Can anyone tell of a good cable to connect my Palm TX to a Garmin
GPS12-XL which uses the round connector? I got one from PC-Mobile but it does not work, It forces a Hot Sync attemt when plugged to TX and there is no way to stop that, They said it might be shorted and would send another. It has been 15 days and no cable so would not buy from these guys again as they will not compensate until SIX weeks with no delivery!
HELP , I badly need a cable. I hope they are not a monopoly on this.1
