You're looking in the wrong places, then. In CN 7, many of the map
segments were the size of the entire state, or pieces of the state for
dense areas. In CN8, there are a lot more segments. It sits between
CN7 and CN6 in terms of segment size (but is closer to the CN7 end of
the spectrum).
