GoogleEarthPlus: Waypoints? Download ONLY??

Is it true that Google Earth Plus will ONLY download waypoints from a
GPS, and will not upload Waypoints / POI's created within Google Earth?

If so, has anyone found an easy workaround, hack or utility to do this?

I live in an area of the world (North Africa) where the ONLY detailled
data in many areas is on GE. I have located many Points Of Interest
that I want to use as GPS Waypoints (Garmin). I know I can manually
write down and enter the coordinates, but I'm error-prone (and probably
lazy too!)...

Any suggestions appreciated. Maybe I missed the whole (Point)?
