Jack, do you know if I turn off the unit, but keep it plugged in, will my
trip stats will be preserved ?
thanks
wolfgang, I haven't used it that much in the hot sun to know -- but the unit
is pretty bright and the little time I did use it, it worked and looked
great.

Does anyone know if it's possible to turn off the screen without actually
turning off the unit. I'd like to leave my unit on when on a trip,
getting
gas or food, but would like to turn off the unit to make it less visible.
Any time the c550 is "plugged in", even though the unit is
turned OFF, the GPS receiver and FM Radio are ON... You get
instant lock-on and traffic information when turning the
unit ON under these conditions...
