Note that 35 only broadcasts the iono grid for east of the Rockies. So
if you have a choice on your unit, have it track 48 or 51.

A ways down the page there is a list of the satellites, with their
locations. From that you can guess which are certainly not visible (like
the one below India).
There is a series of links to lngsat.com, where you can click on your
location on a view of the world, and it returns the azimuth and elevation
from your position. From that, you can make a further guess about which
ones should be visible due to elevation, and at what azimuth they should be
observed.
From the San Francisco area, 35, 48 and 51 are all at 40 degree or better
elevation, from 154 to 209 azimuth.
