That is true for U.S. TOPO 24K, not the 100K TOPO version discussed so far

Hello all,
Is there another software program similar to Mapsource Topo US that
will work on GPSMap 60? (I live in Utah)
Does anyone know if Garmin plans to update their Mapsource Topo
software? It is over a decade old and they want to charge over $100
for this outdated software!
Thank you for replying.
I believe it is possible to buy just one CD of mapsource topo. That is,
you would want the western region.
I agree Mapsource topo is crap. Depending on your needs, expertgps
might be to your liking. There is an eval version, though I forget the
limitations.
One reason I don't bother to upgrade from my emap is I can fit plenty
of those crappy Garmin low res topos in 16Mbytes.
in this thread.
Compare them here: http://www.garmin.com/cartography/ontheTrail/
