More MapSource

Hi again!
My gpsmap 76 died...
When I bring up MapSource,
you can bring up a pane
that you can select navigate on.
it"s on my laptop...
Is it expecting a 76-series gps?
Will that be like bringing up
the DeLorma software with
their gps unit?
I guess what I am trying to ask
if the the garmin units screen
will show up as a colored version
on the laptop?
