With Franson GPSgate 2.01 you can emulate a Garmin GPS including Unit
Identifier.
Example:
i have a Garmin GPSmap60CS with unit id 123456789 and a unlocked
CitySelect
6 Europe
i also have Globalsat bluetooth BT338 and PDA and a laptop
On both PDA and laptop i installed GPSgate 2.01 (ofcourse different
platformversions)
on the PDA: Garmin Que and on laptop: nRoute
with GPSgate i receive the NMEA signal from the BT338 on a COM port.
GPSgate can send this signal rebuilt to Garmin Format and with the
unit id
of my GPSmap60CS to another COMport or USB port.
with the Garmin progs Que and nRoute i receive this signals on this
new
(virtual) ports as original Garmin GPS and so i can use CitySelect
unlocked
on PDA and laptop.
Did this change recently within Franson? I thought I remember from a
few years ago that Franson could not emulate Garmin?
