Economically, that is?
My Magellan sportrack worked well, now it can't find any satellites.
My old garmin etrex finds satellites, but the display is almost gone,
extremely low contrast.
I never cared all that much for the etrex, but did like the sportrack.
Should I get it fixed, or get something new.
What's important to me is that the display show me where I am without
going through many menus, just say where I am. Accuracy, of course,
WAAS and such, but I have no need for waypoints. The compass function
is nice.
Bill's Electronics in Mildmay, Ont repaired my SportTrak for $100. It was shutting down every time it got bumped a little.
