on something, but the unit is a bit smaller and lighter. Also, the buttons
are on the bottom which some people find more natural. I have read, but
can't confirm, that the microSD card is a bit more difficult to insert /
remove. Also, the 60CSx comes with a smaller card (64 MB) than the 76CSx
(128 MB), but most people buy a larger card anyhow.
The 76CSx has a smoother, but larger shape, and will float if that is
important. I find mine (the 76Cx) to be a comfortable handful and getting
used to the buttons on the top end was not trouble. It's really a matter of
preference, but my vote is for the 76.
Enjoy the trip(s)!
But, after a while, you might also want go get one of the "On The Road" units
for your car.
The 76Cx will provide most of the function's you'll use, but I've added a
Street Pilot (currently a 2720) because I like the voice prompts, touch
screen, and hand held remote capabilities in the car. There are a number of
varieties of these available including those with MP3 and Bluetooth
capabilities. Since I don't care to use these functions, the 2720 works best
for me. YMMV
As an aside, I've found that Costco on line carries a number of Garmin units
and their prices are frequently hard to beat--especially if they've got a
discount going on something. Last time I checked, I think the 76Cx was going
there for around $339, but I've not checked in a couple of weeks. Amazon.com
frequently has some good prices, too. If you like a bit of a more personal
touch, I've used both gpsdiscount.com and tvnav.com and can recommend them.
